Features of the keys

Pole and projection: two well-known and important indicators for dividing keys and are among the characteristics of mechanical keys. The concept of pole means the number of individual circuits that can be switched by a switch. In other words, the pole represents the number of separate power circuits that can be changed. Most of the designed switches have one, two or three poles, which are called one, two or three pole switches. The next concept, i.e. throws (paths - Throws), represents the number of states that the current can pass through the switch. Most switches are designed to have one or two throws. Finally, based on these two parameters, the keys are divided into single bridge - single throw, single bridge - double throw, double bridge - single throw, and finally two bridge - double throw.

Features of the keys

Type of function: Another important characteristic for the division of switch types is its function. Meaning, is the switch momentary and does it have a momentary action? (like push buttons) that lasts as long as the contact is held and when the pressure is removed, the contact is lost. On the other hand, there are permanent buttons (Toggle) that stay in a fixed state and keep their state until we change it (light keys).
